Summary

A MODELLING OF A REFRIGERATION COMPRESSION CYCLE IS DEVELOPPED ON A COMPONENT BASIS, IE, EACH COMPONENT BEING CHARACTERIZED INDEPENDENTLY. TO ENSURE MAXIMAL VERSATILITY AND FLEXIBILITY, MODELLING IS PERFORMED IN TRNSYS (TRANSIENT SYSTEM SIMULATION) ENVIRONMENT. THE PAPER PRESENTS THE INPUT/OUTPUT FORMALISM OF THE 4 MAIN COMPONENTS, AS WELL AS THE LINKS BETWEEN THEM AND THE CALCULATION PROCEDURE FOR THE COMPLETE CYCLE. SOME MODELS OF COMPONENTS ARE DESCRIBED: HERMETIC RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR, THERMOSTATIC AND CAPILLARY EXPANSION DEVICES, AIR COILS AND COAXIAL TUBE EVAPORATOR AND CONDENSER. A MORE REALISTIC APPROACH OF THE CYCLE CAN BE CONSIDERED BY ADDING NEW COMPONENTS AND/OR MORE DETAILED MODELS.
