COMPUTER SIMULATION OF COOLING CAPACITY FOR A DOMESTIC REFRIGERATOR-FREEZER.

Author(s) : HARA T., et al.

Summary

COMPUTER SIMULATION WAS MADE OF THE COOLING CAPACITY OF A DOMESTIC REFRIGERATOR-FREEZER. A DOMESTIC REFRIGERATOR-FREEZER HAS A FORCED CONVECTION EVAPORATOR, A FREE CONVECTION CONDENSER, AND A CAPILLARY TUBE AS A PRESSURE REDUCER. HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS OF A CONDENSER AND AN EVAPORATOR HAVE BEEN MEASURED BEFORE THE SIMULATION. SUPERHEAT AT THE EXIT OF THE EVAPORATOR AND GAS QUALITY AT THE EXIT OF A CONDENSER WERE SET IN THE MOLLIER DIAGRAM OF REFRIGERATION. CALCULATIONS WERE DONE FOR VARIOUS CONDITIONS. IT WAS CERTIFIED THAT THE SIMULATION WAS USEFUL FOR PREDICTING THE COOLING CAPACITY OF A REFRIGERATOR-FREEZER.
