QUASI-TRANSIENT SIMULATION OF DOMESTIC REFRIGERATORS.

Summary

THE QUASI-TRANSIENT PROGRAM, TRANS, WAS DEVELOPED TO ANALYZE DOMESTIC REFRIGERATORS. ANALYSIS OF THE CABINET HEAT GAIN AND STORAGE IS CONDUCTED, AS WELL AS MODELLING OF A SINGLE EVAPORATOR VAPOR-COMPRESSION CYCLE. AS A RESULT, CABINET TEMPERATURES, THEIR CHANGE OVER TIME AND THE DURATION OF ON AND OFF PERIODS FOR THE COMPRESSOR CAN BE STUDIED. DATA FILES CAN BE IMPORTED INTO SPREADSHEET SOFTWARE AND PLOTTED VERST. TRANS PROVIDES THE CAPABILITY OF CONDUCTING THOROUGH ANALYSIS OF THE POTENTIAL USEFULNESS OF A HARDWARE MODIFICATION OR FLUID CHANGE.
