Comtech and coolaid: commercial building HVAC technology screening tools.
Author(s) : RAMIREZ B., ROHMUND I., CRISWELL S.
Summary
The programs COMTECH and COOLAID were developed as comprehensive and easy-to-use screening tools for performing comparison studies between various technologies. They were designed to assist utility analysts and engineers in evaluating cool storage and other competing commercial HVAC technologies. COMTECH is the more comprehensive program and can be used for comparisons of most common HVAC technologies, whereas COOLAID is limited to comparisons of conventional electric cooling versus cool storage options.
