Summary

In most sites in Algeria, the inner temperature of the room is high for a long period of the year, in several regions. The adequate conservation of pharmaceutical products in general and vaccines in particular and the respect of the cold chain are necessary.
This article focused on an experimental study of a mobile solar vaccine vapor compression refrigerator, using as power a photovoltaic energy coupled with a conventional AC. It has a useful volume of 57l fed. The large volume allows to have a secondary compartment to store water, or any medicines during any possible displacements to the enclaves sites. The particularity of this device is that its evaporator uses the principle of cold storage by the latent heat. The experimental tests were carried in order to get the energy consumption on the different positions of the thermostat. One the other hand, the study allowed us to show the influence of the PCM on energy rationalization and heat transfer.
