Summary
The coupled processes of heat and mass transfer in film condensation of pure vapours and binary vapour mixtures in forced flow were investigated experimentally with R11-R113. Single-phase resistances for the condensate film and for the vapour flow were determined using the temperature at the vapour-liquid interface. The film-side heat transfer is represented by identical non-dimensional expressions for pure components and binary mixtures.
