Summary
The paper describes the main characteristics of the small turbocompressors and their operational possibilities and limitation when used in cryogenic technologies. As the cryogenic machine usually works under variable conditions, regulation by changing speed is used for setting the actual (optimal) operation regime. For the control operation with variable speed, the asynchronous motor is the best solution.
