Summary

ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY IS INVESTIGATED IN THE RANGE OF COMPENSATION-INDUCED METAL-DIELECTRIC TRANSITION IN A GERMANIUM: ARSENIC SYSTEM. THE FIELDS OF RESISTIVITY AND ITS TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT DEPENDENCES ON THE TEMPERATURE AND CONCENTRATION OF NONCOMPENSATED CHARGE CARRIERS ARE FOUND AND ANALYSED IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE FROM ROOM TO APPROXIMATELY 40 MILLIK. THE DATA OBTAINED ARE TYPICAL FOR THE OTHER SYSTEMS AND ARE SHOWN TO REPRESENT A PHYSICAL BASE FOR WIDE RANGE LOW TEMPERATURE CONVERTERS (THERMORESISTORS, BOLOMETERS).
