Summary

SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSITIONS ARE STUDIED ON GRANULAR FILMS OF A TIN-GERMANIUM SYSTEM WHICH ARE AN ISLAND TIN CONDENSATE ENCLOSED IN AN AMORPHOUS GERMANIUM MATRIX. THE FORM OF SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSITIONS OF R(T) IS ANALYSED FOR A SERIES OF SPECIMENS WITH DIFFERENT RESISTANCE AT 4.2 K. THE BEHAVIOUR IS SHOWN TO BE TREATED WELL IN TERMS OF THE PERCOLATION MODEL THE EFFECT OF TRANSPORT CURRENT ON RESISTIVE TRANSITIONS IS STUDIED BOTH THEORETICALLY AND EXPERIMENTALLY.
