Summary

After having described the principle of "age of the air", the author shows how it is applied as a parameter able to characterize the efficiency of air change in ventilated spaces by artificial systems. The article contains an algorithm allowing the calculation of the age of the indoor air. The author concludes by considering 18 examples of an extremely simple ventilation diagram.
