Summary

IT IS WELL KNOWN THAT FOR OBTAINING CONDITIONS OF THERMOHYGROM ETRICAL COMFORT, AN ABSOLUTE GLOBAL COMFORT IS NECESSARY, ON ONE HAND, AS WELL AS A TOTAL ABSENCE OF LOCALIZED DISCOMFORT ON THE OTHER. THIS ARTICLE CONSIDERS THE CAUSES OF DISCOMFORT AND ANALYSES THE CONDITIONS THAT AN AIR-CONDITIONING PLANT HAS TO SATISFY IN ORDER TO KEEP THE PERCENTAGE OF DISSATISFIED PEOPLE WITHIN PREDICTED LIMITS. THE LAST PARAGRAPH DISCUSSES THE POSSIBILITY OF REDUCING THIS PERCENTAGE TO A MINIMUM.
