Summary

To reduce a hysteresis of the first-order transition in La(Fe0.88Si0.12)13, the correlation between the electronic structure and energy barrier has been verified by ab-initio calculations. Consistent with the calculated results, a small hysteresis has been confirmed in La(Fe0.88Si0.10Al0.02)13. However, a magnetization jump at the transition becomes broad. The sharpness of the transition can be restored by a partial substitution of Pr. La0.8Pr0.2(Fe0.88Si0.10Al0.02)13 exhibits a sharp transition with a small hysteresis.
