Summary
A mathematical model of the ship freezing plant and its refrigeration system dynamics has been developed in order to investigate and design capacity control stategy. A new capacity control method using mathematical model and electronic control system of the screw compressor was proposed for ship freezer which result is power saving of the refrigerating plant. Control algorithms and the benefits to obtain are discussed. The capacity control system developed was based upon the measurement of initial and final product temperatures, power consumption, suction pressure, cooling air temperature.
