Summary
When computer and electronic equipment or process loads cannot tolerate loss of cooling, high-reliability cooling systems are required. These systems, with backup air-handling systems, chillers, pumps and cooling towers and layers of controls provide diverse means of cooling when equipment or controls fail. This article provides guidance for control systems that maximize the reliability of these elaborate cooling systems.
