Summary

Reports measurements of convective heat transfer coefficients at the internal surface of a test cell, which was operated over a range of heating conditions, using a novel device. Compares the measurements with values of heat transfer coefficients published in the CIBSE guide. Also uses the measured heat transfer coefficients to estimate the convective heat fluxes at the internal surfaces of the test cell, which help understanding how the heat flows build up when heating systems are switched on.
