Summary
This volume, published by the OECD, is part of a set of studies on the economic aspects of climatic change. It deals particularly with the implementation of the Rio agreement on climatic changes and asks three important economic questions: how can specific initiatives affect the number and types of countries wishing to join this agreement in a medium term?, how can possibilities of resource transfers between countries influence participation in the agreement?, and how can the problem be solved of "opportunist behaviour" of certain countries which are going to benefit from the agreement without supporting its costs?
