Summary

The two different standards for determining the cooling performance of chilled ceilings existing in Germany have been used extensively, but up to now little has been published about the use of the standards in determining the cooling performance of free convective cooling systems. Based on the experiences and the results of measurements, some suggestions for useful practical installations, of such cooling systems are given.
