Cooling of heating surfaces by liquid jet impingement.

Summary

From a survey of the most recent papers concerning liquid jet cooling it is evident that there exists a need for further investigations on heat transfer to liquid jets, with particular attention given to electronics cooling. This can be summarized by a need for better knowledge of: heat transfer properties of fluorinert liquids; Nusselt number variations along the impingement surface and a means to obtain better uniformity; effects of impingement surface finiteness on the heat transfer coefficient.
