Summary

The authors measured the magnetic noise produced by a Gifford-McMahon cycle cryocooler containing magnetic regenerative material (erbium-nickel) and calculated the magnetic field around the regenerator by integral computation. The cryocooler with erbium-nickel was installed in a cryostat with two SQUID magnetometers. The authors eliminated the magnetic noise by digital filtering and magnetocardiogram and auditory evoked magnetoencephalogram were successfully measured.
