Cooling technology for high-temperature superconductors.
Kühltechnik für Hochtemperatursupraleiter.
Author(s) : BINNEBERG A., HERZOG R.
Type of article: Article
Summary
High-temperature superconductors will be increasingly used in the future, especially in the fields of power applications, electronics and sensor technology as well as for superconducting magnetic bearings. The development of cryogenic cooling technologies is determined by the particular application case. Liquid nitrogen cryostats are mainly used for SQUID measuring systems. 80-K cryocoolers operating with Stirling or pulse tube principles can be used in cryogenic systems after specific calculation.
