Type of article: Article
Summary
Correlations for heat transfer and flow friction coefficients are provided for plane parallel plates and offset strip-fin plates over the ranges used in compact heat exchangers. The correlations cover continuously the full range from laminar to turbulent flow, for both short and long pipes. Suggestions to extend the correlations to other flow conditions are provided.
