Summary

After having pinpointed certain anomalies concerning singular load loss coefficients, zeta, pipe elements of hydraulic networks (see IIR Bull., ref. 2004 - 1128), the authors consider ventilation networks, for which many contradictions also exist. The objective of this article is to present the main anomalies and to propose, where possible, the values that should be used. This first part is devoted to general information on the problem and circular ducts.
