Summary

CryoHub is a collaborative project launched in 2016 and part of H2020 European program; it aims at evaluating potential of liquid air for renewable energy storage. Unlike previous Liquid Air Energy 5torage projects, CryoHub allows not only decarbonizing the electrical grid but also providing green refrigeration by cold recovery optimization as well as waste heat recovery. 5uch system is a new way of assembling mature technology bricks and will be tested on a pilot no later than 2019 to provide a high-performance trigeneration solution (cold, heat and power) applicable to the refrigeration sector.
