Summary

FOWL SEMEN EXTENDED IN A LKS-1 MEDIUM WAS COOLED AT 2 TO 8 K/MIN FOR 40 TO 60 MIN, FROZEN WITH DIMETHYL ACETAMIDE IN A CRYOSTAT AT 213 TO 193 K (-60 TO -80 DEG C) FOR 4 MIN AND STORED IN LIQUID NITROGEN. TWO-STEP THAWING WAS PERFORMED AT ROOM TEMPERATURE AND IN A WATER BATH AT 333 TO 343 K (60 TO 70 DEG C).
