Summary
Pedunculate oak embryogenic calli were cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen following pretreatment on a solid medium with rising sucrose concentrations then air desiccation. The results were compared with those obtained using high concentrations of sucrose followed by glycerol solutions. The former method proved to be significantly better in terms of regrowth.
