CLINICAL AND ANATOMO-PATHOLOGICAL EXAMINATION SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER THE END OF TREATMENTS ENABLE TO CONLUDE TO THE ADVANTAGE OF CRYOSURGERY IN PARODONTAL LESIONS, USING A SPECIAL CRYOPROBE, COOLED BY LIQUID NITROGEN. THIS PROCESS RESULTS IN A DEEP HEALING PROCESS, SHOWN BY A TOTAL DISAPPEARANCE OF POLYNUCLEARS, A RECOVERY OF COLLAGEN FIBERS, AND A REDUCED PERSISTENCY OF VASCULARISATION. WELL TOLERATED BY ALL PATIENTS, THE PROCESS IS SIMPLE, RAPID (2 TO 3 TIMES AT 15-21 DAYS INTERVALS) AND SELECTIVE, AS ITS EFFECT STRICTLY CONCERN PATHOLOGICAL TISSUES, WITH MINIMUM GINGIVAL RETRACTION, DECREASE IN MOTILITY AND PRESERVATION OF THREATENED DENTARY ORGANS.
