Cycle simulation of the desiccant cooling system with a regenerative evaporative cooler.

Summary

The comparison of the cooling performance is provided between the systems incorporating a direct evaporative cooler and a regenerative evaporative cooler with a particular interest in the humid climate application. Cycle simulation was conducted on the systems with the same desiccant dehumidifier but with different evaporative coolers, and the cooling capacity and COP were evaluated at various temperature and humidity condition. Each component of the system, such as the desiccant dehumidifier and the regenerative evaporative cooler is modelled based on the theoretical analysis of heat and mass transfer.
