Summary
Danfoss has developed and brought into production a new range of variable speed hermetic compressors for household refrigerator and freezer applications. This compressor range gives new possibilities for energy saving, which is a major item in this industry. Design and control methods are explained and some example results and principal saving possibilities are discussed.
