NOTES INCREASING DOUBTS ABOUT THE NEED FOR MECHANICAL VENTILATION IN OFFICE BUILDINGS IN WEST GERMANY, INSPIRED BY THE FACT THAT DOMESTIC WINDOW VENTILATION IS QUITE SATISFACTORY. POINTS OUT THAT DOMESTIC AND COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS ARE NOT COMPARABLE AND THAT SUBJECTIVE, AND NOT OBJECTIVE CRITERIA MUST BE APPLIED IN THE COMPARISON OF VARIOUS VENTILATION SYSTEMS.
