Summary
As a core driving component in the absorption Einstein refrigeration cycle, the bubble pump is used to lift the diluted ammonia-water to the reservoir. Segmentation analysis of vertical riser of bubble pump is investigated in the paper. Mathematical model of the submergence ratio which reflects the characteristic of slug flow inside the small riser is given. The analytical model is developed from two-phase flow fundamentals and incorporates the design parameters of the bubble pump. Through introducing the parameter of external heating power, the performance formula of bubble pump is presented, which is useful for the most suitable design of the pump in Einstein refrigeration cycle.
