DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE REFRIGERATION PLANT OF THE CENTRE, MANUFACTURING AND MAINTAINING ICE ON TWO SKATING RINKS, PRODUCING WATER AT 278 K (5 DEG C) FOR THE COOLING OF EXHAUST AIR, THE PRODUCTION OF WATER AT 318 K (45 DEG C) FOR HEATING AND, IN SUMMER, THE PRODUCTION OF WATER AT 279 K (6 DEG C) FOR THE AIR CONDITIONING OF THE CENTRE ROOMS. THE PLANT OPERATES WITH DIRECT EXPANSION OF R12 AND INCLUDES SIX PISTON COMPRESSORS, STARTED IN CASCADE BY STEP ELECTRONIC CONTROL DEVICE FOR SKATING RINKS AND BY A MULTISTAGE THERMOSTAT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CHILLED WATER.
