Summary
THE PAPER DISCUSSES THE CALCULATING FORMULA FOR THE DROPLET GROWTH RATE THAT DEPENDS ON THE SATURATION VAPOUR TEMPERATURE IN THE GAS-LIQUID TWO-PHASE FLOW IN CRYOGENIC TURBOEXPANDERS. CALCULATIONS SHOW THAT THE SIZE OF A FORMATIVE PRIMARY DROPLET IS VERY SMALL EVEN IF THE DISCHARGE WETNESS FRACTION IS AS HIGH AS 20%. EXCEPT IN A FEW CASES, THE PRIMARY DROPLET CAN BE TREATED AS A CONSTANT SIZE PARTICLE.
