Summary
The properties of heat insulation materials have been investigated under 0.1 megapascal compressive load at 77-293 K, along with the possibility of using them as load-bearing insulation for flat-wall cryogenic dewars with flexible shells. A basalt fibre cardboard seems especially promising for this purpose.
