DEVELOPMENT AND TEST ON ADVANCED EQUIPMENT FOR ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION AGGREGATES AND HEAT PUMPS.

Author(s) : PODESSER E.

Summary

TWO TYPES OF LOW-COSTPLUNGER MEMBRANE PUMPS FOR THE HANDLING OF THE WORKING FLUID -ESPECIALLY AMMONIA-WATER MIXTURES -WERE CONSTRUCTED AND SUCCESSFULLY TESTED UNDER OPERATING CONDITIONS. AN EFFECTIVE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR THE WORKING FLUID AGGREGATES AND HEATPUMPS WITH HIGHLY TRANSIENT INPUT/OUTPUT OPERATING CONDITIONS WAS DEVELOPED AND CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVED BY EXPERIENCES GAINED. FURTHER STUDIES MAINLY FOCUSSED ON NARROW TUBES WITH INTERNAL FALLING FILMS. SERIES OF TESTS ON NARROW SINGLE TUBES WITH CO-CURRENTLY AND COUNTER CURRENTLY FLOWING WORKING GAS WERE CONDUCTED OVER A WIDE RANGE OF THE SPECIFIC MASS FLOW OF THE FALLING FILM. FINALLY AN ABSORBER WAS CONSTRUCTED AND ALSO INVESTIGATED.
