Development of a heat balance procedure for calculating cooling loads.
Author(s) : PEDERSEN C. O., FISHER D. E., LIESEN R. J.
Summary
The paper presents a complete formulation of the heat balance method in a form that is suited to calculating cooling loads. The method was developed under ASHRAE research project RP-875, sponsored by TC 4.1. The modeling assumptions inherent in the heat balance method are presented, and a general model capable of representing the features of diverse building spaces is developed as the basis for the method.
