Type of article: Article
Summary
The portable absorption refrigerator is driven by electricity or gas. It has two electrical connections: 100 volts alternating current for home use and 12 volts direct current for car use. The gas is supplied with a butane gas cylinder. The paper describes the working principle of the diffusion absorption refrigerator and experimental results concerned with the effects of key factors in the design approach. These key factors are concentration of ammonia solution, flow rate and the generator's input power. The author confirmed their effects by vapour pump evaluating apparatus.
