Summary

The paper analyzes the factors influencing temperature and humidity, and argues that these two factors and not enthalpy must be used in evaluating the thermal performance of plate-type total heat exchangers. Research shows that for a particular total heat exchanger, temperature and humidity values depend only on the face air velocities and flow ratio of both air streams; air parameters have no influence. The results of the test of a prototype of the plate-type total heat exchanger are presented.
