Temperature profile in countercurrent/cocurrent spray towers.

Summary
In the present paper, a new method of developing an acceptable mathematical solution for cooling towers is described. It takes into account the main influencing parameters, especially the liquid to gas ratio and the actual liquid and gas interface. Calculations with the new solution show that the exit gas temperature is strongly influenced by the liquid inlet temperature, which means that the results with a liquid closed loop are very different from those with a liquid open loop.
