Author(s) : DEMIKHOV E., KOSTROV E., LELEKHOV S., et al.

Summary

The HTS 2G current leads for 14 T magnetic system were designed. The current lead is cooled by helium gas and consists of three sections (normal, mixed and HTS). The normal part is the brass tube. The mixed section consists of the brass tube shunted by the HTS tape. The third part is HTS section where stainless steel tube uses as a structural support. The HTS tape is second generation high temperature superconductor made by THEVA with critical current I(c)= 80 A.
