DESCRIPTION OF THE PRINCIPLE OF A HEAT PUMP WITH A COMPRESSOR DRIVEN BY A DIESEL ENGINE EQUIPPED WITH HEAT RECOVERY UNITS ON THE COOLING OF THE CYLINDER HEAD AND OIL (100%) AND ON EXHAUST GASES (80%). THE PAPER GIVES IN DIAGRAMS THE RESULTS OBTAINED DURING TESTS CARRIED OUT BY THE CENTRE TECHNIQUE DES ENERGIES ET DU CHAUFFAGE (FRANCE). THE TEST RIG ENABLES ONE TO VARY SOME PARAMETERS (KIND AND SPEED OF THE DIESEL ENGINE, REFRIGERANT, REFRIGERATION COMPRESSOR, INLET WATER TEMPERATURE AT THE CONDENSER). AN APPLICATION TO THE TOWN SWIMMING-POOL AT LYON-VAISE IS OUTLINED. J.R.
