Digital design methods for refrigeration systems.

Author(s) : DING G. L.

Summary

Digital design methods based on computer, including simulation and optimization, have been widely used in design of refrigeration systems. The purpose of this paper is to give an overview of the digital design methods for refrigeration systems. This paper summarizes the models for components such as compressor, heat exchanger and capillary tube, and the methods to combine the component models for system simulation. The optimization algorithms for the best thermodynamic performance as well as the methods to decrease the noise are illustrated. Methods to speed up computation and the application ways of artificial intelligence for the design of refrigeration systems are also presented.
