REPORTS AN INVESTIGATION OF THE ATTITUDES OF 218 PEOPLE TOWARDS AIR CONDITIONING AND THE MICROCLIMATIC PARAMETERS IN A 28-STOREY ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING. FINDS THAT DISSATISFACTION IS CAUSED BY THE HIGH AIR TEMPERATURE, ROOM ORIENTATION, THE GREATER NUMBER OF PEOPLE WORKING IN THE OFFICES, SMOKING, AND THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF OPENING WINDOWS, LEAVING THE INDIVIDUAL WITH NO CONTROL OVER HIS OWN WELLBEING. DISSATISFACTION IS NOT INFLUENCED BY THE DISTANCE OF THE DESK FROM THE WINDOW OR THE WALL, THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY OR AIR FLOW, AGE, TYPEOF FLAT OR METHOD OF DOMESTIC HEATING. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
