Summary

CAPACITY REDUCTION WITH A CENTRAL SYSTEM IMPLIES REDUCTION OF FLOW, OR TEMPERATURE DIFFERENTIAL, OR OF BOTH OF THESE. THE ECONOMIC SOLUTION IS TO REDUCE FLOW, BUT EXISTING VALVES AND CONTROLS MAY NOT PERFORM AGAINST CHANGING WATER PRESSURES. A SOLUTION MAY BE TO USE TWO-PORT MODULATING VALVES, BUT THEY MUST BE ABLE TO CLOSE FULLY IF NO LOAD. ALL VARIATIONS OF OPERATING CONDITIONS TO BE CHECKED. ACTUATORS AND SENSORS ARE A CRITICAL FACTOR. A.R.T.
