DOORS FOR HIGH RISE REFRIGERATED STORAGE.

Author(s) : COLEMAN R. I.

Summary

INTERFACING A HIGH-RISE FREEZER WITH ADJACENT NORMAL-HEIGHT REFRIGERATED STRUCTURES CREATES CONDITIONS AT THE DOOR OPENINGS REQUIRING SPECIAL CONSIDERATION TO MINIMIZE AIR MOVEMENT BETWEEN THE STRUCTURES. THE USE OF AN INSULATED AIR LOCK WITH A DOOR AT EACH END WILL REDUCE AIR INFILTRATION INTO THE HIGH-RISE FREEZER AND THE LOSS OF REFRIGERATED AIR FROM THE FREEZER. MATERIAL-HANDLING SYSTEMS FOR MOVEMENT OF PRODUCT WILL BE MORE AUTOMATED.
