DYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS.

Author(s) : JAMES R. W.

Type of article: Periodical article

Summary

THE AUTHOR FEELS THAT THERE ARE STILL SHORTCOMINGS IN MODELLING HIS TWO-PHASE FLOWS WHEN ANALYSING EVAPORATOR PERFORMANCE. THE PURPOSE IS TO DESCRIBE THE BASIC APPROACH TO MODELLING REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS AND EXPLAIN SOME OF THE TECHNIQUES EMPLOYED AND THEIR APPLICATIONS. DESIGNERS WISHING TO MAKE A DETAILED MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS SHOULD CONSULT THE REFERENCES AND THE APPENDIX INCLUDED IN THIS ARTICLE. THE MODEL PRESENTED WAS USED TO INVESTIGATE THE MOVEMENT OF THE REFRIGERANT WITHIN A LIQUID CHILLING SYSTEM, THE INFLUENCE OF LIQUID LEVEL CONTROLLERS AND CAPACITY CONTROL ON SYSTEM PERFORMANCE.
