Type of article: Article
Summary
One of the most important causes of noise in compressors is the vibration of moving parts of valves. A test rig including a valve, a cylinder, a piston, an electromagnetic device inducing the valve vibration, and an air-injection device, is described. The objective is to reach conditions of dynamic equilibrium, in order to reduce noise.
