Summary

PROPERTIES OF TUNNEL JUNCTIONS IN A MAGNETIC FIELD ORIENTED PERPENDICULAR TO ELECTRODES ARE STUDIED THEORETICALLY. IT IS SHOWN THAT IN ACCORDANCE WITH EXPERIMENT THE MAGNETIC FIELD INCREASE LEADS TO THE QUASIPARTICLE CURRENT AMPLITUDE RISE AT LOW VOLTAGE AND TO THE DECREASE IN SUPERCURRENT AND INTERFERENCE CURRENT AMPLITUDES. COMPARISON WITH EXPERIMENTAL DATA MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO EVALUATE THE UPPER CRITICAL FIELD OF SUPERCONDUCTING JUNCTION ELECTRODES.
