AN EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION WAS UNDERTAKEN OF THE EFFECT OF ASPECT RATIO, THAT IS TO SAY, LENGTH TO DIAMETER RATIO, ON FORCED CONVECTION HEAT TRANSFER FROM SINGLE CYLINDERS OF FINITE LENGTH WITH CROSS FLOW. IT APPEARS THAT THERE IS LITTLE EFFECT OF ASPECT RATIO FOR VALUES GREATER THAT FOUR.
