Summary
IN THE STUDY THE WELL-KNOWN FINITE-VOLUME METHOD IS USED TO PREDICT THE TIME RESPONSE OF A PROGRESSIVE CHARGE IN LIQUID TEMPERATURE FOR A CROSSFLOW CIRCUMFERENTIALLY FINNED-TUBE HEAT EXCHANGER. THIS IS DONE IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE EFFECTIVE VALUES OF COEFFICIENTS OF AN APPROXIMATE RESPONSE FUNCTION, WHICH IS BASED ON A LUMPED PARAMETER MODEL. EXPERIMENTS CARRIED OUT SHOW GOODAGREEMENT.
