Effect of mass transfer on turbulent friction during condensation inside ducts.
Author(s) : GROENEWALD W., KROGER D. G.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Correlations are presented for the friction factor in terms of the suction rate, and are utilized in estimating the frictional pressure change in condenser tubes. Predictions of the frictional pressure drop during the condensation of steam in air-cooled duct correspond to within more or less 5% of experimental measurements.
